See Proserpine township. Cruise down the calm river waters onboard this all-weather vessel, seeing the prolific wildlife residents of the mangrove habitat, including crocodile spotting and mud crab capture. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch at the safari campsite. Board an open-air, tractor-drawn wagon-train travelling through wetlands, seasonal waterholes and a melaleuca forest. Billy tea and damper, cooked on site, will finish off this incredible eco tour.
Today we leave Airlie Beach on-board a coach tour passing the magnificent azure waters of the Whitsunday Passage to Proserpine township and to the estuarine waters of the Proserpine River system. Our guides catch the famous Queensland mud crab and provide an entertaining insight into their features and fascinating life-cycle, before releasing the crabs back into Proserpine River.
