DAY 1 Cairns - Atherton
Drive the awesome, winding mountain road with spectacular vistas across the coastal plains, see roadside waterfalls and rainforests, visit Kuranda village (stronghold of matured 1960's hippy culture), craft shops, markets, cafes and home base of with views of the Barron Falls and the 34km long Scenic Railway that begins in Cairns and ends in Kuranda.
