DAY 1 Fly to Broome

Broome is the western gateway to the spectacular Kimberley region. This historic pearling town sits on the western edge of the vast and remote Kimberley region and is the largest town in Australia's ruggedly beautiful north west. Broome exudes a laid back ambience, an outback oasis with white sand beaches, sensational Cable Beach and shimmering turquoise waters which contrast vividly with the red ochre pindan earth.

You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities. Enjoy a leisurely evening to spend your own way.

DAY 2 Broome Town Tour

The perfect introduction to Broome, your half day tour of the township will take you to all of the major attractions and landmarks, including ancient rocky outcrops and the spectacular coastline. Hear about Broome’s heritage and how it shaped the town. Visit Chinatown, the Japanese Cemetery, Gantheaume Point and Cable Beach.

At the end of the tour, enjoy a Pearling Master’s high tea and a Pearl Luggers Tour. Combining the historical and cultural influences of Broome, you’ll enjoy tea, coffee or a glass of sparkling wine on arrival followed by sweet and savoury treats.

DAY 3 Cable Beach Camel Ride

Broome is a vibrant and cosmopolitan town with a proud pearling history, the town is blessed with a fantastic climate and an abundance of stunning natural beauty, a visit to the Japanese Cemetery where perished Japanese pearl divers are interred brings home the human cost of Broome's colourful pearling history, other attractions include Cable Beach, Matso's Brewery and bustling Chinatown.

Enjoy a day in Broome at your leisure to explore at your own pace before your spectacular Cable Beach Camel Ride at sunset.

DAY 4 Board Kimberly Quest II & Sail from Broome to Cape Leveque

The remote and beautiful Kimberley coast offers some of the most impressive views Australia has to offer, the majestic King George Falls, the world famous Horizontal Falls, remarkable Montgomery Reef and vast open bays stretching as far as the eye can see, marvel at dramatic outback landscapes that are steeped in ancient Aboriginal legend.

Today you will be personally met at your hotel by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred to Broome Wharf to begin your cruise. Board the Kimberley Quest II for the start of your 10 days cruise to Wyndham. This evening enjoy a drink and a magnificent sunset as you cruise past Cable Beach.

DAY 5 Buccaneer Archipelago, Dugong Bay & Talbot Bay

Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and take in your first taste of the Kimberley as you cruise through the thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Experience a swim in the magnificent natural harbour of Dugong Bay as well as a scenic tender excursion before visiting Talbot Bay, home of the iconic Horizontal Falls. Take an exhilarating tender ride through this spectacular natural phenomenon before taking another excursion up Cyclone Creek to view the amazing rock formations.

DAY 6 Surprise Falls & Secure Bay

Enjoy a relaxed morning before cruising to Surprise Falls for a refreshing swim. Later enter Secure Bay and watch the spectacular tidal movements of the region as you cruise through the many whirlpools. Take a scenic tender to view the sandstone cliffs before having the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of fishing for Giant Trevally, Mackerel, Queenfish and Tuna.

DAY 7 Montgomery Reef, Sale River & Raft Point

Cruise to the amazing Montgomery Reef which covers over 300 square kilometres, the largest inshore reef in Australia. Watch the amazing waterfall effect as the tide falls and the reef seemingly rises out of the water in front of your eyes. Take a scenic tender to view the various marine species of the area including turtles and sea birds before later exploring the Sale River. View ancient rock art from the tenders on your journey back before cruising towards Steep Island. Anchor below Raft Point where you can walk to the caves on top the hill to view some of the finest Wandjina art in the Kimberley. Enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Kimberley Coast from the top of the hill before returning to the Kimberley Quest II for the night.

DAY 8 Doubtful Bay, Red Cone Creek, Camden Sound

Cruise towards Three Way for some barramundi fishing and mud crabbing before continuing your journey to Ruby Falls, located off Red Cone Creek. Enjoy this beautiful freshwater swimming hole before cruising through the humpback breeding sanctuary of Camden Sound where you may be able to witness infant whales frolicking.

DAY 9 Camden Harbour & Rothsay Water

Early this morning enjoy a choice of pelagic fishing or a guided search for famous Kimberley rock oysters before visiting Camden Harbour, scene of a failed 19th century sheep farming settlement by European settlers. Later this afternoon cruise toward Rothsay Water where you can enjoy a tender excursion to explore the ancient Bradshaw and Wandjina rock art.

DAY 10 Prince Regent River, King Cascade & Cathedral Falls

Enjoy a cruise through St George basin and take in spectacular views of Mt Trafalgar and Mt Waterloo as you cruise up the Prince Regent River. Visit the mighty spring fed King Cascade waterfalls and marvel at rivers of water cascading down surrounded by wildlife and lush vegetation. Take a swim in a crystal clear pool above the falls and take in the breathtaking view of the Prince Regent River. Later choose between an excursion to Cathedral Falls or another day of fishing for Threadfin Salmon and huge Barramundi.

DAY 11 Hanover Bay & Booby Island

Today enjoy a tender excursion around historic Hanover Bay and learn about the failed exploits of explorer George Grey in 1837. Later, cruise past the sandstone and basalt islands of Brunswick Bay and marvel at the remote seabird colony of Booby Island. You can even try your hand at Pelagic fishing if you choose.

DAY 12 Heywood & Champagny Island

Spend today exploring the crystal clear beaches and waters of Heywood and Champagny Island. Visit a truly remarkable historic secret radar base from World War II and take a walk along a deserted beach. Marvel at humpback whales as you cruise back towards Cape Leveque.

DAY 13 Arrive back in Broome

Arrive back in Broome early this morning and disembark after breakfast. Get dropped off at your Broome hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.
