This morning we travel inland to cruise a section of the Adelaide River and witness saltwater crocodiles close up as they leap out of the water to snatch their food. The Adelaide River starts in Litchfield National Park and is well known for its high concentration of saltwater crocodiles, along with other wildlife including white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, freshwater crocodiles, bull sharks and the black flying-fox. An excellent opportunity to observe these primeval creatures as you cruise along the Adelaide River.

Today you will cruise the Adelaide River in crocodile infested waters, watch as your guide entices massive wild saltwater crocodiles to jump and snatch their food (witnessing crocodiles up close). Experience the ultimate thrill as these magnificent creatures leap out of the water with sheer power and grace - creating a profound sense of excitement and awe that will stay with you forever.

As sunlight dances on the water’s surface, the spirit of the Jawoyn people, traditional custodians of this land, whispers through the rustling leaves and ancient rock art. This morning we head south towards Katherine along “The Track” – pausing at Adelaide River where the headquarters of a military base once stood and now a cemetery to remember those who lost their lives here defending the north. Then nature takes over as we arrive at the breathtaking Nitmiluk National park where we embark on an awe-inspiring cruise through the majestic Katherine Gorge. Feel the spirituality of the land while you learn about the Jawoyn people. Revel in the moment as the rugged beauty of this giant chasm welcomes you into its fold, revealing towering sandstone cliffs, abundant waterways and pristine wilderness.

We then prepare for a spectacular Outback Show featuring the charismatic horseman and acclaimed musician, Tom Curtain, who welcomes you to experience an afternoon filled with hearty laughter and genuine country charm on a working cattle station. DAY 6 Katherine to Kununurra

Our destination today – Kununurra - a hidden gem in Western Australia's Kimberley region, a striking oasis where untamed landscapes and cultural richness converge. Our remarkable journey takes us through small outback settlements like Timber Creek, over the magnificent wild Victoria River and beneath breathtaking escarpment cliffs on our way to Lake Argyle. The Ord River is one of Western Australia's most beautiful waterways, situated in the remote Kimberley region, this mighty river is home to a wonderful array of wildlife such as rock wallabies, crocodiles and a plethora of different bird species, popular activities here include boating, fishing, cruising, swimming and jet skiing.

Welcome to Western Australia! This afternoon we visit the historic Durack Homestead Museum. The homestead was originally built in 1895 by the famous pioneering Durack family - faithfully removed brick by brick from its original location and reconstructed to become a museum when Lake Argyle, Australia's largest man-made lake was filled. Stroll through the homestead exhibitions and gardens connecting with the challenges of early pioneering life in the Kimberley.

The special finishing touch to our incredible day awaits as we board our cruise along the Ord River from Lake Argyle back to Kununurra. DAY 7 Explore Kununurra

Today – your adventure is yours to choose. Perhaps take an optional early morning scenic flight over the spectacular Bungle Bungle Range and Lake Argyle. Feel the sheer exhilaration as you soar above this mesmerising landscape where ancient beehive-shaped domes reveal their intricate patterns etched by time or maybe take a full day in-depth 4WD tour of the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu).

You could choose to join a guided walking tour of Mirima National Park – also known as the ‘mini-Bungles’ for its rocky resemblance. Wander between the brightly coloured layered rock walls and learn of the cultural significance for the local Miriwoong people while watching for wallabies, reptiles, bats, dingoes, echidna and an array of Kimberley birdlife. Perhaps enjoy magnificent views of the town from Kelly's Knob Lookout. DAY 8 Kununurra to El Questro

The iconic Gibb River Road winds 660 km through the stunning central Kimberley Plateau from King Sound at Derby to the Cambridge Gulf at Wyndham, a journey through definitive Australia - an ancient land of stunning natural beauty, red earth and ochre rock formations, vast savannahs, waterfalls and endless ranges, untamed and ruggedly beautiful.

First up today we visit Hoochery Distillery, makers of Ord River Rum. Learn about how Raymond ‘Spike’ Dessert III and his family came to open the distillery before you sit down and try their famous Ord River Rum Cake for morning tea. Delish! Or to really get your heart started, perhaps try a tasting paddle of their hand crafted rums and whiskeys.

We are then introduced to the legendary Gibb River Road – immersing ourselves in the raw beauty of one of Australia's most iconic off-road experiences. Winding our way along the first sealed stretch of “The Gibb”, surrounded by sweeping views of the spectacular Cockburn Range we arrive to the gigantic and world famous El Questro – our home for the next two nights.

DAY 9 Explore El Questro

We farewell El Questro this morning and make our way south winding through some of the most spectacular range country in the Kimberley including the mighty Durack and Carr Boyd Ranges. The vast, sun-scorched landscapes stretch endlessly around us, while the ancient, rugged ranges stand as silent witnesses to the passage of time. The beauty here is so raw, so unspoiled—it truly takes your breath away.

Our journey leads us toward the vast expanse of the Great Sandy Desert. Along the northern edge of this arid wonder lies Halls Creek, a marvel of wide-open spaces, steeped in both Aboriginal and European history and with the eager calls of “Gold!” still lingering in the air.

We make our way to the vibrant Yarliyil Art Gallery. This Aboriginal owned enterprise is home to over 100 talented artists, each bringing their unique stories to life through an impressive variety of styles and mediums.
