DAY 2 Darwin Guided Tour

Today we embark on a fascinating 5 hour guided tour of Darwin's rich culture and history. Perhaps take a swim in the paperbark and pandanus fringed natural pool at the base of the falls before continuing on to Katherine for the night.

DAY 6 Kakadu to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge to Darwin

Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge is a place of profound natural beauty and cultural significance. Carved by the mighty Katherine River, the gorge's towering sandstone cliffs rise majestically from the waters, creating a breathtaking landscape that captivates the soul. As you navigate the tranquil waters, surrounded by ancient rock formations and lush vegetation, a sense of tranquillity washes over you, connecting you with the ancient rhythms of the land.

This morning enjoy a captivating cruise through Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, one of the most visited sites in the Top End. Look for freshwater crocodiles and magnificent birdlife while taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in Australia. A true jewel of Australia's Top End, this ancient gorge is a testament to the timeless power of nature, its rugged sandstone walls sculpted over billions of years. After our cruise, we delve deeper into the heart of Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge with a visit to the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre.

Journey onwards to Pine Creek, a quaint historic town steeped in the rich legacy of the gold rush era. Then, pay homage to the fallen heroes of World War II at the Adelaide River War Cemetery before bidding farewell to this land of wonders and returning to Darwin.
