DAY 1 Welcome to Alice Springs

As you arrive into the Red Centre of Australia you can still sense the strong pioneering outback spirit of Alice Springs. You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps take a stroll around the neighbourhood and central Alice Springs.

DAY 2 Alice Springs Luxury Coach Tour

Your Central Australian adventure starts off today by exploring the modern face of the historic pioneer town of Alice Springs, famous for Afghan cameleers, gold-diggers, flying doctor base, school of the air, The Ghan train, the usually dry Todd River, the Simpson Desert, 'A Town Like Alice', contemporary Aboriginal art (Todd Mall) and the Aboriginal Arrernte people who have lived here for 20,000 years.

Enjoy our 4.5 hour luxury coach tour with great informative commentary from our experienced local guide. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service (headquarters of the globally respected medical service providing a critical link to remote communities throughout the Northern Territory), Historic Telegraph Station (site of the first European settlement in Alice Springs, established in 1872 to relay messages between Darwin and Adelaide), School of the Air (provides education to primary school aged children living on remote properties throughout the Northern Territory since 1951), Anzac Hill (dedicated as a war memorial to honour those that fallen in Australia’s wars) and Alice Springs Reptile Centre (amazing NT animals like, saltwater crocodiles, huge goannas, frill-neck lizards and Gecko Cave). You will also get a great orientation of thriving Alice Springs, touring through the town and seeing the other main attractions such as the Cultural Precinct, National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame, Road Transport Hall of Fame, Old Ghan Train Museum, Olive Pink Botanic Gardens and Todd Mall.

DAY 3 Uluru (Ayers Rock) with Special Dinner

Uluru is one of the world's most recognisable natural landmarks and is regarded in geology as an "Island Mountain". Stand in awe as it overwhelms your senses with its sheer scale, its changing colours, its incredible texture, its spirit and its wonder. The monolith of Uluru (Ayers Rock) is listed as a World Heritage Site residing in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park which is home to a plethora of springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Uluru has great cultural significance for the Anangu Aboriginal people who share their Dreamtime stories.

Your friendly driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned luxury coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the onboard full commentary throughout the day. Head out of Alice Springs through “The Gap” in the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, take a break at Erldunda Roadhouse (typical remote outback roadhouse), cross remote endless desert plains and experience the vast openness of Outback Australia. Visit the Kata Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre with time to explore and buy souvenirs. Crafted from 90,000 mud bricks, this remarkable Centre is a living tribute to the Anangu people, who generously shared their wisdom to bring it to life. Standing on sacred ground, you'll feel the profound significance it holds for its traditional custodians.

Welcome to Uluru... as we arrive at the base of this majestic monolith, let the spirit and presence of Uluru wash over you - the heart of Australia. Learn of Aboriginal Tjukurpa on the Mala Walk, where you’ll witness fascinating examples of Anangu rock art and hear ancient stories, take a guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, learn of the law, legends and bush tucker of the beautiful Anangu people and stand in awe at caves containing intriguing Indigenous rock art.

Witness the changing colours of Uluru at sunset while sipping sparkling wine and enjoying your Special Dinner. With Uluru as a dramatic backdrop, it will be hard to forget this delicious BBQ dinner. Return to Alice Springs following dinner (with a convenience stop) to conclude a day full of wonderful new experiences and new memories. Walks are optional (but included in the cost) - hats, sunscreen, sturdy walking shoes and bottled water are required when participating. Domestic border restrictions have ended for nearly all States, meaning you:
