Cervantes is the little fishing town inside the Pinnacles Desert. It was established as recently as 1962 when the government dedicated 505ha in the northwest section of Nambung National Park to establish a town.

Today, Cervantes is a pleasant fishing village with three jetties and a large crayfish rock lobster processing plant.
