Day 1 Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Journey north along the scenic route to the Daintree River. Budget tour options can experience the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary at Port Douglas, home of the endangered cassowary and a myriad of other wildlife, including Koalas and Crocodiles.
Cruise on the majestic Daintree River, learning of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and local wildlife. Cross the river on the famous cable ferry and drive to your overnight accommodation in Cape Tribulation.

Discover the unique geological oddity that is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Arrive in Cooktown with a breathtaking view from Grassy Hill of the Endeavour River and Cooktown.

Day 3 Cooktown to Cairns
Explore Cooktown at your own pace. Perhaps take an optional tour of traditional Aboriginal lands and rock art sites.
Visit the world class James Cook Museum or stroll along the majestic shores of the Endeavour River.Experience the charming atmosphere of Cooktowns main street, and discover two centuries of rich history, starting with Captain James Cook's landing in 1770 and then the gold rush in the 1870s.
Depart Cooktown via the inland road, The Mulligan Highway, travelling through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River Gold mine region - the Outback of Far North Queensland.
