Day 1 Cairns to Chillagoe
Wind you way through the dense, green rainforest of the Goldsborough Valley where you will feel miles away from civilization yet the hustle and bustle of Cairns is only an hour or so drive away.
Journey through the pristine dairy farming land of the Atherton Tablelands, home to one of the most amazing trees in Queensland, the Curtain Fig Tree, whose roots begin at the top of the tree and plunge metes to the ground making a curtain like formation.
Adventure off road to the tiny hamlet of Watsonville, but watch out for the windmill in the middle of the road. Your journey then takes you to Irvinebank, Queenslands best kept secret, settled in 1882 it was a main town in the center of the mining boom.
Continue off road until you reach the captivating town of Chillagoe, a former 19th century mining town, no Chillagoe visit is complete without a visit to Tommy Prior, the owner of one of the oldest and most famous historic car collections in Australia.

Day 2 Chillagoe to Jabiru
Discover the impressive cave systems of Chillagoe and undertake a short sightseeing town tour.
Journey off road once more to the Mareeba Wetlands, which stretches over 5000 acres of savannahs and wetlands, providing a sanctuary for much of tropical Australia's savannah and wetland flora and fauna.
Enjoy an afternoon cruise on Clancy's Lagoon, home to numerous species of wildlife and flora then travel into the heart of a 2200 hectare reserve for wildlife viewing, bird watching and some Billy Tea.

Day 3 Jabiru to Cairns
Awaken to the dawn chorus of the Blue-winged Kookaburra and Brolga then embark on a guided walk and learn about the geology and history of this amazing area.
Embark on either the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which gives you a birds eye view over the stunning Kuranda Rainforest, or take the Scenic Railway, which weaves through the dense rainforest.B
