Paddington is an eclectic, attractive place to visit. Oxford Street runs through the Paddingtons main entertainment district, offering shops, clubs, pubs, bars and restaurants.
The popular Paddington Market has been in operation since 1973 and is well worth visiting. There are over 200 stalls with original hand-made jewellery, crafts, second hand clothes and some highly individual fashions.

Paddington also hosts a number of art galleries, which are worth a visit as well as a number of cinemas. The Chauvel, which is in the town hall, shows new fringe films and is well worth checking out.
