DAY 1 Fly to Broome

Broome is the western gateway to the spectacular Kimberley region. This historic pearling town sits on the western edge of the vast and remote Kimberley region and is the largest town in Australia's ruggedly beautiful north west. Broome exudes a laid back ambience, an outback oasis with white sand beaches, sensational Cable Beach and shimmering turquoise waters which contrast vividly with the red ochre pindan earth.

You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities. Enjoy a leisurely evening to spend your own way.

DAY 2 Discover Broome Tour

This morning experience the perfect introduction to Broome, as we discover the incredible Cable Beach, Chinatown, Gantheaume Point, Roebuck Bay, the renowned Japanese Cemetery and the historic township. DAY 3 Board the True North

Today be picked up from your Broome hotel and transferred to the True North for the start of your 8 day adventure cruising the waters of the awesome Kimberley, with your knowledgeable crew welcoming you aboard around 5:00pm. Enjoy a cocktail with your fellow adventurers before setting off at 6:30pm to Yampi Sound. Indulge in a delectable dinner served enroute, then settle into your cabin to familiarise yourself with the vessel and relax for the evening.

DAY 4 Horizontal Falls and Silica Beach

This morning glide past Cockatoo and Koolan Islands as you enjoy an irresistible breakfast. Horizontal Waterfalls is the highlight today, once described as “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world” by Sir David Attenborough. A true icon of the Kimberley Coast - Horizontal Falls is exhilarating - as you witness the sheer power and mesmerising beauty of the tidal currents rushing through narrow gorges. Huge 12 metre tidal movements create a waterfall effect as they're forced through narrow cliff passages demonstrating the immense power of the Kimberley tides and a spectacular show of the beauty of nature. DAY 5 Three Ways, Ruby Falls and Montgomery Reef

Today your morning starts early if you would like the chance to catch a Barramundi at Three Ways. Then we embark on a soul-stirring journey to the resplendent Ruby Falls, where nature's majesty beckons you with an irresistible allure, inviting you to immerse yourself in its cool, revitalising waters. Alternatively, take off on an optional heli fishing adventure to a secret-spot where the fresh meets the salt.

Savour a mouthwatering lunch as we set sail for the mystical realm of Montgomery Reef. Brace yourself for a sight that defies belief, as 362 square kilometres of vibrant coral reef rise majestically from the ocean's depths - an astounding spectacle. The reef has a unique structure that creates spectacular cascading waterfalls in the middle of the ocean - one of the great natural wonders of the Kimberley coast. Witness the magical dance of cascading water as the tide recedes, revealing a privileged glimpse into another world teeming with life and wonder. Turtles, dugongs, and crocodiles, along with an array of sea creatures, abound in this underwater sanctuary. DAY 6 Prince Regent River and King Cascades

Be mesmerised by the sheer beauty of this pristine waterway, cutting through rugged sandstone cliffs and majestic gorges.

As we reach spectacular King Cascade, a spring-fed waterfall enveloped in a lush haven of ferns teeming with vibrant wildlife, our vessel will gracefully position itself right under the falls, allowing us to feel the sheer power and wonder of nature up close. Then it's time for more "adventure in the tender," where the thrill of exploration awaits. Lace up your hiking boots as we trek through the wilderness and discover hidden gems along the way. The optional experience for the day is a picnic via helicopter flight to a crystal clear billabong. Soar high above the rugged landscapes of the Kimberley to a once in a lifetime picnic spot. DAY 8 Hunter River, Jackson Falls and Prince Frederick Harbour

You will wake this morning in the heart of Hunter River. This spectacular river system will captivate your senses with its 30km of breathtaking scenery. Set against an incredibly scenic backdrop of red rock cliffs, rainforest and mangroves, its waterways are rich with fat barramundi and succulent mud crabs and are said to have the highest proportion of saltwater crocodiles in the Kimberley. Bask in the solitude of castaway island beaches as you embark on an expedition boat to indulge in the thrill of an exhilarating hike to the hidden gem of Jackson Falls. Or perhaps take flight on an optional helicopter journey, gaining a whole new perspective of this awe-inspiring landscape.

This afternoon, cruise into majestic Prince Frederick Harbour, one of the biggest and most pristine mangrove systems in the world. These magnificent treasures are abundant, making the search a joyful journey of discovery. Savour their unique taste direct from the rock, adorned only with a dash of freshly squeezed lemon. Nearby Wandjina galleries showcase ancient stories, their enigmatic rock art weaving tales of the rich cultural heritage of the traditional custodians of this glorious land. Today, we are captivated by the superb ancient rock art of the Kimberley at Vansittart Bay. These sacred masterpieces bear witness to the rich tapestry of Aboriginal culture, rituals and traditions. Explore the symmetrical, mystical and beautifully depicted Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) Aboriginal rock art galleries - possibly the oldest ‘paintings’ known to man. These enigmatic rock art galleries unveil vibrant colours and enigmatic symbols, igniting a profound sense of wonder for the timeless wisdom and cultural legacy of the land's traditional custodians. For the fisherman - Vansittart Bay also has a reputation for producing monster mackerel.

One of the best parts of the day is your optional Heli-picnic at Eagle Falls - where indulgence and exceptional natural beauty intertwine to create a truly magical experience - savour a sumptuous picnic lunch surrounded by intoxicating scenery. The tenders then whisk you away to idyllic local beaches and serene creeks – be enchanted by each new discovery. DAY 12 Twin Falls and WWII Bomber Wreck

Today we cruise down the magnificent King George River to the Kimberley’s crowning jewel - King George Falls. Western Australia’s highest twin waterfall with a vertical drop of over 80 metres, witness a truly astounding spectacle as water plunges over an ancient sandstone cliff into tidal waters. The Vessel will be anchored at the base of the falls and you can experience trekking, exploring and enjoying all the dramatic scenery surrounding one of the Kimberley’s “Big” rivers. Climb or take the optional helicopter to the top of the falls for a phenomenal view.

Prepare to be transported back in time to a poignant chapter in history as you immerse yourself in the haunting tale of the state-ship bombing during World War II. Learn about the bravery and sacrifices made during those tumultuous days. Afterward, take a gentle stroll at Tranquil Bay, a place where serenity meets natural beauty, and let the tranquillity wash over you, before cruising onwards to the port of Wyndham.

DAY 13 Arrive Wyndham and Say Goodbye to the Kimberley

It is time to say goodbye to the breathtaking Kimberley and your fellow travellers as your extraordinary journey along the Kimberley Coast draws to an end. Today, you will disembark at Wyndham Port at 8:00am and be transferred to Kununurra airport for your flight home.
