DAY 1 Fly to Broome

Broome is the western gateway to the spectacular Kimberley region. This historic pearling town sits on the western edge of the vast and remote Kimberley region and is the largest town in Australia's ruggedly beautiful north west. Broome exudes a laid back ambience, an outback oasis with white sand beaches, sensational Cable Beach and shimmering turquoise waters which contrast vividly with the red ochre pindan earth.

You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities. Enjoy a leisurely evening to spend your own way.

DAY 2 Discover Broome Tour

The perfect introduction to Broome, your half day tour of the township will take you to all of the major attractions and landmarks, including ancient rocky outcrops and the spectacular coastline. Hear about Broome’s heritage and how it shaped the town. Visit Chinatown, the Japanese Cemetery, Gantheaume Point and Cable Beach.

At the end of the tour, enjoy a Pearling Master’s high tea and a Pearl Luggers Tour. Combining the historical and cultural influences of Broome, you’ll enjoy tea, coffee or a glass of sparkling wine on arrival followed by sweet and savoury treats.

DAY 3 Board the True North & Sail from Broome to Wyndham

Today be picked up from your Broome hotel and transferred to True North for the start of your 11 day adventure cruising the waters of the awesome Kimberleys, with your knowledgeable crew welcoming you aboard around 5:00pm, and enjoying a cocktail with your fellow adventurers before setting off at 06:30pm to Yampi Sound. Enjoy dinner served enroute, then settle into your cabin, to familiarize yourself with the boat, and relax for the evening.

DAY 4 Horizontal Falls and Silica Beach

Horizontal Waterfalls is the highlight today, once described as “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world” by Sir David Attenborough. Experience this natural wonder from your optional airconditioned helicopter to get a bird’s eye view. Relax and enjoy the rest of the day on Silica Beach, the pure white silica sand which is the only one of her kind on the entire Kimberley coast.

DAY 5 Raft Point and Montgomery Reef

Today morning start with some fishing in Three Ways, and then cruise toward the magnificent Raft Point for its Aboriginal Rock Art portraying the mythical Wandjina tribe.

After lunch, raising the anchor early, you will then take a quick cruise to Montgomery Reef. Montgomery Reef has unusual reef structure that creates spectacular cascading waterfalls in the middle of the ocean and is one of the great natural wonders of the Kimberley coast, an astonishing spectacle. it's Australia's largest inshore reef and consists of sea-grass beds, islets and shallow lagoons, the outgoing tide reveals a stunning array of cascading waterfalls that attract feeding birds, turtles, manta rays, reef sharks and dugongs. The optional helicopter view of this natural phenomena will impress you better.

DAY 6 Prince Regent River and King Cascades

While exploring Prince Regent River, be astounded by the picturesque scenery that backdrops on the way. With luck, the tide will allow you the chance to drop a line for a spot of fishing. Cruise straight up to visit the mighty spring fed King Cascade waterfalls where Your vessel will be skillfully navigated to right under the falls, before another breathtaking optional helicopter flight to a picnic that you’ll never forget and marvel at multitude of freshwater pools and rivers of water cascading down surrounded by wildlife, natural gardens, lush vegetation.

DAY 7 King Cascades

A wide variety of soft adventures are optional today, including an early morning fishing expedition, or nature walks to see some stunning rock art or go on the expedition boats with ship’s naturalist. The optional experience for the day is your picnic by your helicopter flight to crystal clear billabong where the lunch is served in one of the most remote places on earth.

DAY 8 Hunter River Jackson Falls and Prince Frederick Harbour

You will wake this morning in the heart of Hunter River. The Hunter River, a spectacular river system of the Kimberley coast with 30km long river, is said to have the highest proportion of saltwater crocodiles of any other river in the Kimberley and an incredibly scenic waterway rich with fat barramundi, succulent mud crabs and castaway island beaches. Expedition boat is available for a short hike to Jackson Falls or even more exciting using the optional helicopter.

Cruise into Prince Frederick Harbour, one of the biggest and pristine mangrove systems in the world, by afternoon. Spend the evening fishing, drinking on your own isolated beach.

DAY 9 Voltaire Passage and Rock art

After having an early morning breakfast spend the morning hunting for the black-lip oysters, which are plenty in the area other than mackeral, giant trevally and queenfish. Tasting black-lip oyster from its natural environment will add more flavors to your unique tasting experience. This morning you also can discover world’s oldest and richest rock art, Wandjina and Bradshaw, in the area. By afternoon cruise down to Voltaire Passage and explore the many surrounding islands and then enjoy pearl party for the rest of the day, showcasing some exquisite pieces created by Kimberley Fine Diamonds and Jewels of the Kimberley artistes.

DAY 10 Mitchell River, Surveyors Creek and Mitchell Falls

This wide estuarine Mitchell River is great for hunting for the delicious Kimberley barramundi. The expedition boats will cruise on to Surveyors Creek for a freshwater swim. There will be an opportunity for a helicopter flight to the amazing Mitchell Falls over the Mitchell Plateau. Enjoy cocktail hour before your unique dining experience of the day.

DAY 11 Eagle Falls and WWII Bomber wreck

Explore the symmetrical, mystical and beautifully depicted Bradshaw galleries by trekking in the area. One of the best parts of the day is your optional Heli-picnic at Eagle Falls, a memorable and breathtaking experience. Discover local beaches and rivers before you cruise down to explore the relic of a World War II DC3 plane in the cove.

DAY 12 Twin Falls and Tranquil Bay

You will cruise down to the magnificent King George River and to a truly astounding spectacle waterfall where water plunges over an ancient sandstone cliff into tidal waters, Western Australia’s highest twin waterfalls. The Vessel will be anchored at the base of the falls and you can experience trekking, exploring and enjoying all fantastic scenery the first of the Kimberley’s “Big” river has to offer. Climb or take the optional helicopter to the top of the falls for a stunning view. Learn about the history of the Koolama shipwreck in the afternoon and relax a stroll at Tranquil Bay before cruise onto the frontier port of Wyndham.

DAY 13 Arrive Wyndham and Say Goodbye to Kimberley

Disembark in Wyndham Port at 08:00am and transferred to Kununurra airport for your flight home.
