DAYS 1-2 Indian Pacific Sydney to Adelaide

Fly into Sydney and be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to the Indian Pacific railway station to begin your journey to Adelaide.

Embark on the legendary Indian Pacific as you travel from the harbour city of Sydney to the 'City of Churches' Adelaide, marvel at the beauty passing by your cabin window, the magnificent Blue Mountains, rural countryside, tough mallee scrub home to the outback town of Broken Hill and onto the fertile green surrounds of beautiful Adelaide.

As you arrive into Adelaide you can feel the history and culture of 'The City of Churches'. You will be personally met by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the Indian Pacific railway station on arrival in Adelaide to your Adelaide hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps take a stroll around the neighbourhood and central Adelaide.

Day 3 Adelaide Luxury Coach Tour

Adelaide is Australia's wine capital and lies between rolling hills to the east and beautiful sandy beaches to the west, with world class vineyards within easy reach.

Your friendly driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned luxury coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the on-board full commentary throughout the morning. Today see Victoria Square (heart of Adelaide city), Gouger Street (restaurant cafe strip), King William Street's famous boulevard, The Terraces (4 terraces that separate the city from its greenbelts) and Adelaide's magnificent parks, gardens and greenbelts. See River Torrens with its delightful garden banks, Parliament House, State Library, Trinity Church (Adelaide's oldest church), fashionable Hutt Street and stop at Haigh's Chocolates to enjoy complimentary tea or coffee accompanied by fine Haigh's chocolates (Haigh's unavailable on Sundays). See Beehive Corner at Rundle Mall, Adelaide Oval (one of Australia's most notable cricket grounds and houses the Bradman collection), the quaint suburbs of North Adelaide; O'Connell Street (restaurants and trendy shops), St Peter's Cathedral, Colonel Light's Lookout on Montefiore Hill (spectacular views over Adelaide).

DAY 4 Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is a spectacular haven for a wealth of native wildlife, the majestic scenery here is home to sea lions, kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and penguins, explore eerie underground caves, climb rugged rock formations and swim, snorkel, fish and dive the ocean from sensational beaches and secluded coves.

Your friendly local driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the on-board full commentary. Board the ferry to Kangaroo Island and start the day by visiting Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, an award winning and the only commercial Eucalyptus Oil distillery in South Australia. Later your delicious two-course lunch will be served in Vivonne Bay Bistro.

After lunch walk amongst Australian sea lions in Seal Bay Conservation Park and continue onto the fascinating in-flight Brids of Prey Display at Raptor Domain. Explore Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to get close with Koalas, see Penguins swim and play, hand fee Kangaroos and Wallabies, learn about endangered species, interact with Snakes, Crocodiles and Reptiles. You will be then transferred back to your hotel.

DAY 5 Kangaroo Island Tour

Start the day by visiting Clifford’s Honey Farm with informative talk, tastings and an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice-cream. You will then travel to Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Café for a scrumptious two-course lunch after which you can look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts or an abundance of native birdlife in the wildlife sanctuary.

You will then travel to Western end of Kangaroo Island to experience the iconic landmarks Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Finish the day in Flinders Chase National Park and you will be transferred back to Hotel.
