Perhaps relax at your hotel, explore its facilities and take a stroll around central Adelaide.
  
You could discover Adelaide’s laneway secrets, it's bars, cafes, galleries and boutique shops. Wander the tree-lined boulevard of North Terrace, home to the city’s most important cultural institutions. DAYS 2-4 The Ghan Adelaide to Alice Springs to Darwin

Enjoy a relaxing slow-paced morning at your hotel, before your DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative takes you to The Ghan railway station to begin your remarkable journey to Darwin.

DAY 5 Darwin Tour

Today we embark on a fascinating guided tour of Darwin's rich culture and history. Your friendly local driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the on-board full commentary. Enjoy the colourful sights of this unique city, learn of the devastation of Cyclone Tracy, marvel at the majesty of Darwin Harbour, tour through the World War II Oil Storage Tunnels (engineering feat built to protect Darwin's oil supplies from the Japanese, now also houses a collection of Allied wartime photographs), see Sweetheart (famous 5.1m crocodile responsible for a series of attacks on boats) at the NT Museum and Art Gallery and see Historical Palmerston Town, Parliament House, Military Museum, Darwin Waterfront, Darwin Botanic Gardens, Fannie Bay Gaol, the Qantas Hanger, the Darwin Aviation Museum and much more.

The vibrant city of Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory has a wealth of exciting things to see and do, get a taste of the city at the Parap Village Markets or explore the many street vendors spread out throughout the city, sail Darwin's fabulous harbour, enjoy outdoor festivals, art precincts and waterside restaurants, the city is also the gateway to sensational Litchfield National Park, Kakadu National Park and the Tiwi Islands.

DAY 7 Jumping Crocodiles Luxury Day Tour & Cruise

Enjoy some free-time this morning to explore Darwin before you set off for an exciting afternoon.

Travel inland to cruise a section of the Adelaide River and witness saltwater crocodiles close up as they leap out of the water to snatch their food. The Adelaide River starts in Litchfield National Park and is well known for its high concentration of saltwater crocodiles, along with other wildlife including white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, freshwater crocodiles, bull sharks and the black flying-fox. An excellent opportunity to observe these primeval creatures as you cruise along the Adelaide River.

Today you will cruise the Adelaide River in crocodile infested waters, watch as your guide entices massive wild saltwater crocodiles to jump and snatch their food (witnessing crocodiles up close). Experience the ultimate thrill as these magnificent creatures leap out of the water with sheer power and grace - creating a profound sense of excitement and awe that will stay with you forever. 

Enjoy a stop at Howard Springs, for a chance to see barramundi and turtles. Today is an amazing adventure.

You will be personally met by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the Adelaide airport to your hotel and then from your hotel to The Ghan railway station, from the railway station on arrival in Darwin to your hotel and from your hotel to the airport to meet your flight home.

Domestic border restrictions have ended for nearly all States, meaning you:

  • don’t need to apply for a border pass
  • won’t need a Covid test
  • won’t need to quarantine
