DAY 1 Melbourne - Mansfield
Follow the Maroondah Highway to the bucolic beauty of fertile rolling farmlands, parklands and mountain ranges of Melbourne's close northern playgrounds and world famous wineries and then to the winter wonderland of the Victorian Alps and snowfields.

DAY 2 Discover Mansfield
Who can deny the romance of the High Country? Abundant good food and excellent wines, the Alpine National Park, Lake Eildon, lake Nillahcootie, and Mansfield State Forest, hiking, skiing, water-skiing and horse-riding and warm cosy restaurants service fresh local produce and wines from the region. And tales of the iconic Australian history of Australia's most well-known bushranger, Ned Kelly and the Trooper's Monument, made in remembrance of police officers shot by Ned Kelly. Enjoy Mt Buller, Victoria's largest alpine winter skiing resort set some 1.8 kms above sea level with 180 hectares of ski trails and Mount Stirling, Mt Hotham and Halls Creek and summertime enjoy the resorts for hiking and mountain biking, with the Mt Buller ski lift working year round for the skiiers’ ease and amazing fields of wildflowers replacing the snowfields.
