Day 1 Fly to Perth

Feel the great expansive openness of the West Coast with its big blue skies and its ever developing but still youthful capital city of Perth. You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps take a stroll around the neighbourhood and central Perth.

Day 2 Perth “Welcome” Tour with Fremantle

Perth is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a wealth of interesting and exciting attractions, the city is alive with lively bars, cafes and restaurants, there are great shopping, historic and cultural opportunities, Perth is blessed with an abundance of stunning natural surrounds including beautiful white sand beaches and the shimmering Indian Ocean.

Let us show you the sights of our beautiful city of Perth to get your bearings and benefit from the informative commentary. It's a true welcome to Perth. This 3.5 hour tour takes in most of the city's major attractions plus takes you to South Perth across the Swan River and along Perth beaches.

The bohemian port town of Fremantle has a unique feel and distinctive cafe lifestyle. See the amazing colonial architecture and experience Fremantle. En route to Fremantle take in the views from the "Tree Top Walk" in King's Park and travel along some of Perth's finest beaches. Travel back to the city alongside the Swan River. Day 3 Explore Perth

Perth is Australia's friendly city, blessed with abundant sunshine and beautiful surrounds, it blends vibrant urban chic with a laid-back outdoor lifestyle, Perth's modern skyline is best viewed from stunning Kings Park which offers great views of the city and the meandering Swan River, nearby attractions include the Swan Valley wineries and historic Fremantle.

Today explore Perth at your own pace. Take a stroll around the city or maybe visit Fremantle. The choice is yours.

Day 4 Tour from Perth to Margaret River

Today we start our small-group gourmet tour to the magnificent Margaret River region.  Busselton is a charming and lively town that is famous for its incredible 1.8 km jetty that stretches out into the sea, the town's waterfront precinct is home to vibrant cafes, bars, restaurants and kiosks, the calm surrounding waters are ideal for swimming, fishing and snorkelling, popular here in season is whale watching as migratory whales make their way past the town's shores.

Drive south from Perth stopping at Mandurah for a coffee break, the Featured Wood Gallery & Museum and Busselton, home of the largest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Browse through Vasse Virgin (formerly the Natural Olive Oil Soap Company). Experience a sunset scenic tour (June – September) and seasonal wildflowers.

Day 5 Explore Margaret River

Margaret River is famous for its sensational wineries which produce world-class wines, the region also produces incredible fresh produce and delicacies ranging from delicious truffles to mouth watering crayfish, the region is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty including rugged coastline, great beaches, green rolling hills and towering forests.

Kick start the day at Yahava Koffee Works. The good people at Yahava are passionate about coffee, they will take us through a tasting of their range. This morning we will stop at two cellar doors to sampling some incredible wines from respected and award-winning wineries, followed by a relaxing lunch and cleansing ale at the renowned Cowaramup Brewery.

Enjoy an exclusive wine tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon straight from the barrel at Fermoy Estate, taste cheese at the Margaret River Dairy Company, olive oil at either Olio Bello or Pukara Estate and chocolate from the Margaret River Chocolate Company. In the evening, after tasting and sipping our way around the Margaret River region, we have the evening at your leisure.

Day 6 Tour from Margaret River to Perth

Today we discover Margaret River’s spectacular natural surrounds. We explore the region’s stunning scenery and remarkable natural and cultural attractions. Sparkling white beaches meet tall tree forests in Margaret River, and Redgate Beach is no exception.

Journey through the tall trees on a scenic drive to Mammoth Cave, one of more than 200 known caves in the region, from Cape Naturaliste in the north to Cape Leeuwin in the south; we venture underground on a guided tour through the Mammoth Cave. Drive through the majestic Boranup Forest and stop at Boranup Gallery showcasing creative wood designs and furniture. Stop at Hamelin Bay to see the spectacular beach of fine white sand, clear blue water and friendly stingrays swimming in the shallows. 

Drive through Augusta with views of the Blackwood River to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Our guide will show us where the Indian and Southern oceans meet. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Augusta, some free time in Margaret River before making the journey north back to Perth.

Day 7 Say Goodbye to Perth

Domestic border restrictions have ended for nearly all States, meaning you:

  • don’t need to apply for a border pass
  • won’t need a Covid test
  • won’t need to quarantine
