Day 1 Fly to Darwin

When you arrive into Darwin you can sense the cosmopolitan and thriving atmosphere of this historic tropical North Australian city. You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps take a stroll around the neighbourhood and central Darwin.

Day 2 Sunset Cruise & Special Dinner

Time to relax and take your time getting ready for your Special Dinner tonight. As the sun goes down you will cruise off into the balmy tropical evening on a relaxing 2.5-hour sunset cruise around the harbour. Take in the cool night air on the top deck, experience the early-evening views of Darwin's Harbour and the unforgettable Top End sunsets. For your Special Dinner tonight, dine onboard the vessel, savoring a delicious buffet dinner (with salad bar) and first-class service as you look out across the pristine Arafura Sea. Day 3 Kakadu Luxury Day Tour & Cruise

World Heritage-listed Kakadu is internationally famous for very good reason. Experience Australia's biggest national park - with its dramatic escarpments, tropical rainforest, lush wetlands, millions of migratory birds, thundering waterfalls, sparkling waterholes, delicate waterlilies, prehistoric crocodiles, rock art galleries (up to 50,000 years old) and traditional aboriginal owners, the happy and proud Bininj/Mungguy people. Kakadu is a tapestry of treasures waiting to be explored with six (6) dramatically different seasons.

This morning skirt Francis Bay on Darwin Harbour, head out on Tiger Brennan Drive and see Berrimah Naval Defence base, Darwin suburb of Palmerston, spot for massive road-trains, head east on the Arnhem Highway, pass through Humpty Doo, cross the Marrakai Wetlands and Adelaide River. See the top end outback bush, eucalypts, palms and termite mounds. At Kakadu National Park on the South Alligator River, take a short guided walk to Nourlangie Rock to see ancient Aboriginal rock art (optional but included in the price), enjoy a tropical buffet lunch (cold meats, salad and fruit), take a 1.5 hour guided cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, spotting for crocodiles, brolgas, magpie geese and kites. Take in the serenity and beauty that nature gifts in the Kakadu wetlands and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn the stories and traditional ways of the beautiful Aboriginal people of Kakadu. Head back into Darwin after a full day of discovery and wonderful experiences to treasure. Day 4 Jumping Crocodiles

Enjoy some free-time this morning to explore Darwin before you set off for an exciting afternoon.

Travel inland to cruise a section of the Adelaide River and witness saltwater crocodiles close up as they leap out of the water to snatch their food. The Adelaide River starts in Litchfield National Park and is well known for its high concentration of saltwater crocodiles, along with other wildlife including white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, freshwater crocodiles, bull sharks and black flying-fox. An excellent opportunity to observe these primeval creatures as you cruise along the Adelaide River.

Today you will cruise the Adelaide River in crocodile infested waters, watch as your guide entices massive wild saltwater crocodiles to jump and snatch their food (witnessing crocodiles up close). Experience the ultimate thrill as these magnificent creatures leap out of the water with sheer power and grace - creating a profound sense of excitement and awe that will stay with you forever.

Visit the Wetland View Top & Information Centre (educational display with sweeping views over the wetlands from the top deck). Today is an amazing adventure.

Day 5 Darwin to Katherine

Following breakfast, travel south along the Stuart Highway to the Adelaide River War Cemetery. Continue through Katherine to Nitmiluk National Park and enjoy a cruise in the gorge while looking out for wildlife and learn about the history and culture of the Jawoyn people, the Traditional Owners of the land. Return to the Knotts Crossing Resort for dinner and the night.

Day 6 Katherine to Kununurra

Travel South West from Katherine to Kununurra. Visit the Durack Homestead Museum at Lake Argyle then enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Ord River from Lake Argyle to Kununurra before dinner. Your accommodation for the next two nights is at the Kununurra Country Club Resort.

Day 7 Explore Kununurra

After breakfast take a tour of Kununurra town today. Your tour includes a visit to Mirima National Park, which is of great cultural significance to the Miriwoong people and is also home to a large variety of wildlife. Later, view the town from Kelly’s Knob lookout before enjoying a free afternoon to relax. This evening enjoy a privately hosted dinner at the Kununurra Sandalwood Factory. Enjoy a presentation by a Sandalwood expert and learn about this intriguing industry.

Day 8 Kununurra to El Questro

After breakfast, we travel to the Hoochery Distillery, the only rum distillery in Western Australia. Enjoy morning tea at the distillery, famous for its Ord River Rum Cake. Continue on to Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve (weather permitting) to variety of birdlife in this region. Visit Marglu Billabong, an important feeding and breeding area for waterbirds. Continue down the Gibb River Road to El Questro Wilderness Park for dinner and two nights at Emma Gorge Resort in your safari style tented cabins.

Day 9 Explore El Questro

Enjoy breakfast on the resort’s large verandah before travelling across the Pentecost River for a cruise along the Chamberlain Gorge. Spend some time at the station before heading back to Emma Gorge Resort. Enjoy a free afternoon before dinner and drinks at the resort with local entertainment.

Day 10 El Questro to Halls Creek

After breakfast, travel to the Argyle Diamond Mine at the traditional Barramundi Dreaming site at Barramundi Gap. Join a local Indigenous Guide for a behind the scenes look at the diamond mining process and the cultural significance of the site. Continue to Halls Creek for the night at the Kimberley Hotel.

Day 11 Halls Creek to Fitzroy Crossing

After breakfast, travel through the Kimberley towards Fitzroy Crossing. Stop at the Yiyili Indigenous Community in Louisa Downs. Meet some of the residents at Laari Gallery, an art gallery in the community. After lunch, cruise down Geikie Gorge in the Napier Range. After dinner retire to the Fitzroy River Lodge for your overnight accommodation.

Day 12 Fitzroy Crossing to Broome

Depart for Broome after breakfast and stop at Derby to see the famous Boab Prison Tree said to have been used as overnight holding cell for indigenous Australians on their way to Derby for sentencing. Arrive in Broome and relax before dinner at the Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa, your home for the next two nights.

Day 13 Explore Broome

After seeing the sights of Broome on your township tour including Gantheaume Point, spend the day at your own pace before dinner at your hotel.

DAY 14 Willie Creek Pearl Farm

A tour of the Willie Creek Pearl Farm lets you see first hand how these beautiful pearls are produced, friendly and knowledgeable guides take you through the fascinating process from the seeding of an oyster to the harvesting of the pearls right through to the beautiful final product on display in the showroom.

Enjoy a half day morning tour of a Pearl Farm and then enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your own pace.

Experience a tour of a working pearl farm at Willie Creek Pearls. Your 4 hour coach tour includes transfers to and from the pearl farm, a pearl farm tour, a Willie Creek boat cruise, refreshments, a visit to the jewellery showroom and a free souvenir guide before being returned to your accommodation.

Day 15 Cape Leveque Luxury 4WD Tour

Cape Leveque lies in the far north of Western Australia's vast Kimberley region, this beautiful and remote region is home to a wealth of wonderful wildlife including a multitude of birds, wild turtles and whales in season, the blue waters, white sand beaches and ochre cliffs here give Cape Leveque a paradisiacal tropical island appearance.

Spend the day exploring the Dampier Peninsula and all it has to offer. Learn about the art of pearling and view the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago.

Depart Broome and travel north to explore “Dampier Land” in a Luxury 4WD. Visit the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community and the Beagle Bay Church, home of the pearl shell alter for morning tea. Continue to the Lombadina Aboriginal Community before reaching Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm for lunch. Later travel to the One Arm Point Community to take in views of the Buccaneer Archipelago and witness the spectacular tidal flows of the Kimberley. Visit the Community’s aquaculture hatchery before relaxing on the pristine beaches of Cape Leveque.

Day 16 Broome Sunset Hovercraft

A Roebuck Bay Hovercraft experience offers exciting and unforgettable memories, thrill as you skim over sand bars and tidal flats, marvel at perfectly preserved dinosaur footprints, at low tide walk among the relics of the Dutch Catalina flying boats destroyed by the Japanese in WWII and enjoy sensational views of Broome's glorious coastline.

Enjoy a day of leisure and some free time before experiencing a thrilling Hovercraft flight over Roebuck Bay.

There are many beaches providing access to the tidal flats of the bay, but really there is only one way to venture right out onto the tidal flats, and that is by hovercraft. Gliding along the tidal edge take in the view as Pelicans, Egrets, Osprey and Sea Eagle pass by, whilst marvelling at the dramatic red rich Pindan cliff backdrop as you land on a secluded patch of pristine coastline. As the tide continues to fall you then head off into the Bay, settle down on the sandy sea floor and let your pilots look after you with sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres as the sun finally sets silhouetting the Broome Peninsula whilst glistening off ripples in the tidal floor.

Day 17 Cable Beach Camel Ride

Broome is a vibrant and cosmopolitan town with a proud pearling history, the town is blessed with a fantastic climate and an abundance of stunning natural beauty, a visit to the Japanese Cemetery where perished Japanese pearl divers are interred brings home the human cost of Broome's colourful pearling history, other attractions include Cable Beach, Matso's Brewery and bustling Chinatown.
