Located on the sheltered eastern shores of Geographe Bay about 20km east along the coast from Busselton or 254km from Perth, Dunsborough offers an excellent base for exploring the Margaret River Area. Its protected beaches are ideal for fishing, swimming, snorkelling and diving and are amongst the most beautiful beaches in Western Australia. Meelup and Eagle Bay, just outside of the township, are great places to swim, snorkel or relax on the beach. The aqua green and deep blues if the crystal-clear ocean is breathtaking and really must be seen to be believed.

Dunsborough is a chic township with boutique facilities, including specialty shops, a chemist, supermarkets, and food outlets including a bakery that is renowned for its freshly-baked sweet and savoury delights all over Western Australia. In recent years, the land around Dunsborough has been developed which has seen a dramatic increase in the number of permanent residents. The main attractions are Dunsboroughs gorgeous beaches and secret coves, forests and increasing number of facilities and its proximity to the abundance of attractions within this part of the Margaret River area.

13km away from Dunsborough is Cape Naturaliste, Western Australias most westerly point. The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse was built in 1903 and is one of the few remaining manned lighthouses in Australia. It is open to the public and its whale-viewing platform provides a good vantage point to watch the passing parade June to September.
