Day 1 Cairns

Meet your crew and travelling companions with a welcome drink at your campsite.

Day 2 Great Barrier Reef

Enjoy a day-long cruise of the Great Barrier Reef on a catamaran.

Learn about, and experience the beauty of this incredible reef with its abundance of coral and tropical fish, from a semi-submersible boat, Underwater Observatory, or at arms length as you snorkel.

Visible from space, the Great Barrier Reef stretches over 2,000 kms and is the world?s largest single living structure, and supports over 1,500 species of fish, dozens of species of whales and dolphins and countless crocodiles, turtles and birds.

Day 3 Kuranda

Take the Skyrail Cableway up above the rainforest to Kuranda where you can explore the exciting Kuranda markets and take part in the Pamagirri Experience where you will hear Aboriginal ?Dreamtime? myths and legends, such as the Rainbow Serpent.

  • Learn how to play the didjeridu, or to throw a boomerang, and watch a traditional Corroboree. Let the train take you through the scenic countryside back to Cairns.

    Day 4 Cairns to Airlie Beach

    Travel south from Cairns, stopping briefly in Townsville, which is known as the unofficial capital of North Queensland, and is also home to one of Australia?s largest military bases.

    Continue down to Airlie Beach, the gateway to the stunning Whitsundays.

    Day 5 Hamilton Island

    Cruise out to Hamilton Island by catamaran and explore the picturesque isle. Laze on the spectacular Whitehaven beach and see why it is regarded as one of the world?s most beautiful beaches.

    Perhaps try sea-kayaking on the warm, crystal-clear waters, snorkelling through shoals of tropical fish, or exploring the ancient rainforest by foot.

    Day 6 Airlie Beach to Langmorn Station

    Stop briefly at Mackey, the cane sugar capital of Australia, before continuing on to Rockhampton, on the banks of the mighty Fitzroy River.

    Explore some of the town?s historic buildings, before heading to Langmorn Station, where you will experience a guided tour of the historic Homestead and ?Old Station?.

    Day 7 Langmorn Station to Hervey Bay

    Travel through Gin Gin and Miriam Vale on the way to Hervey Bay, beyond which lies tomorrows? destination; Fraser Island.

    Day 8 Fraser Island

    Experience the beauty of World Heritage Listed Fraser Island, with its ancient rainforests and long sand beaches.

    Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world, and has been home to the Butchulla aboriginal people for thousands of years. In 1836, The Sterling Castle was shipwrecked on its shores, and the island was named after the sole survivor, Eliza Fraser.

    Take a thrilling 4WD dune ride and wander along 75 Mile Beach, admiring the amazing naturally formed Cathedrals- coloured cliff faces. Enjoy a leisurely cruise back to Hervey Bay.

    Day 9 Hervey Bay to the Gold Coast

    Travel to Brisbane, and enjoy a short tour of this laidback capital city. Continue down to the exciting Gold Coast Originally a sugar-cane capital, Gold Coast city is now a vibrant metropolis, and a haven for surfers, shoppers and swimmers alike.

    Explore the city at your leisure, dining in your choice of restaurant, or relaxing with a drink in one of the vibrant nightspots.

    Day 10 The Gold Coast to Byron Bay to Coffs Harbour

    Follow the Tweed River Valley to Cape Byron Lighthouse, which boasts the title of Australia?s easternmost point, as well as stunning views.

    Explore Byron Bay?s many colourful shops, and follow the Pacific Highway to the beautiful resort town of Coffs Harbour.

    Day 11 Coffs Harbour to Sydney

    Stop off at Port Macquarie, and follow the beautiful Hawkesbury River southwards to Sydney, the world famous ?Harbour City?, where you will conclude your Tropical Escapade.
