Day 1 Alice Springs - Kata Tjuta and Uluru

Journey to the heart of the Red Centre to the magnificent Uluru. Discover fascinating Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)rock formation on a guided interpretive walk through the Valley of the Winds.
Observe a magical desert sunset over Uluru before curling up in your swag (Aussie bedroll) and watching the stars twinkle in the dark sky.

Day 2 Uluru - Kings Canyon
Wake early to see the beautiful sunrise over Uluru.
Enjoy a walk around Uluru's base, or climb to the top if you prefer. Get an understanding of the land and its stories at the Cultural Centre.
Feast on a tasty camp oven dinner.

Day 3 Kings Canyon - Glen Helen
Take a hike to the outstanding Kings Canyon rock formations
Walk through the Amphitheatre, the Lost City, the lush and ancient Garden of Eden and the North and South Walls; be mesmerised by the enormity and beautifulness of this amazing landscape.Travel along the well-known Mereenie Loop Track and see the 140 million year old meteorite crater, Gosse Bluff.
Pass by the home of acclaimed Indigenous artist Albert Namatjira and travel towards Glen Helen.

Day 4 Glen Helen - Alice Springs
Experience the stunning Ormiston Gorge before doing some exciting 4WD driving through the Finke River.
Discover Palm Valley and Cycad Gorge, once a prehistoric inland sea.
Witness one of the rarest trees in the world, the Livistonia Mariae.
The magnificent Western MacDonnell Ranges will continue to amaze you all the way back to Alice Springs. Overnight: Camping in Alice Springs

Day 5 Alice Springs
Explore Alice Springs at your own pace.
Enjoy the year round blue skies and stunning landscapes. Perhaps take a bike ride to the West MacDonnell Ranges for a great photo opportunity.
Perhaps visit the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you can see venomous snakes as well as goannas and frill necked lizards.

Day 6 Alice Springs - Banka Banka
Passing the Tropic of Capricorn, stop at Ti Tree for the chance to buy original works of art by Indigenous artists.
Learn about the early hardships of bush telecommunications at Barrow Creeks historic Telegraph Station.
See the mysterious Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles), a sacred site to its traditional owners.
Head to camp at Banka Banka Cattle Station and if the weather is good, have a swim in the picturesque waterhole.

Day 7 Banka Bank - Katherine Gorge
Enjoy a refreshing drink at the well-known Daly Waters Pub, an outback roadhouse and watering hole for travellers from far and wide.
See the town where Australia's first international airport was built, Mataranka.
Feel a million miles from anywhere as you explore the peaceful town of Mataranka and immerse yourself in the steamy thermal springs, surrounded by lush tropical forest.

Day 8 Katherine Gorge - Darwin
Spend the day having fun in the beautiful Katherine Gorge.
Canoe or cruise the sparkling waters, or enjoy a scenic helicopter flight over the gorges.
Head to Darwin with stops at peaceful Edith Falls and the crocodile-filled Adelaide River.
Overnight: Camping at Katherine Gorge

Day 9 Darwin
Explore Darwin at your own pace.
Perhaps visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and learn about the ferocious Cyclone Tracey, which shattered Darwin in 1974.
Journey to the Darwin Crocodile Farm, where 10,000 crocodiles are housed. Walk amongst safe platforms to watch the crocodiles being fed. Birdwatchers will also enjoy the numerous native birds here.

Day 10 Darwin - Mary River
View the amazing waterfalls of Litchfield National Park.
See the spectacular Mary River Wetlands as you cruise around on a private boat ride.
Look out for birds and swimming crocodiles.
Overnight: Camping at Point Stuart Wilderness.

Day 11 Mary River - Kakadu
Learn of the ancient Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr.
Climb to the top of a gravel lookout for wonderful views over the Nardab floodplain.
Enjoy an invigorating swim in the plunge pools after a hike to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge).

Day 12 Kakadu - Darwin
Experience some thrilling 4WD action as you journey to Jim Jim Falls.
Hike to the base of the falls before continuing on to Twin Falls.
Enjoy the impressive scenery at the remarkable gorge and observe the powerful falls as you tour on the National Park operated boat and boardwalk.
