Travel to Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles), where there is time to walk around these precariously balanced boulders that have been worn smooth by the harsh elements of nature over many thousands of years. Continue to Tennant Creek.

Day 3 Tennant Creek to Tanami Desert
Admire the pretty countryside as you drive along the Buchanan Stock Road, past vast cattle stations for which the Kimberley is renowned, en route to Top Springs.
Introduced Afghan camels are scarce in this region but might be spotted by the keen observer. Look for clusters of the beautiful Sturts Desert Rose, native Grevillias and tall termite mounds.Overnight: Bush Camp at Top Springs

Day 4 Tanami Desert to Halls Creek
Skirt the edge of the Tanami Desert, along the Buntine Highway through cattle country to Halls Creek, on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert, and the location of the first gold rush in Western Australia.
A 28-ounce gold nugget found here by Charlie Hall in 1885 led to the first gold rush in Western Australia, and the town is still the hub of a huge cattle industry.

Day 5 Halls Creek to Geikie Gorge- Fitzroy Crossing
The distinct landscape of the northwest region of the Kimberley becomes obvious today. Journey along the Northern Highway to the town of Fitzroy Crossing.
Enjoy a cruise of Geikie Gorge, and look out for freshwater crocodiles as well as 350 million year old fossils embedded in the gorge walls.

Day 6 Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
Your journey continues westward today to Broome. See the sights of Broome including Chinatown, the Japanese Cemetery, Streeters Jetty and visit Gantheaume Point for sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.
This evening, watch a breathtaking sunset over Cable Beach.

Day 7 Broome
Explore Broome at your leisure, relaxing on the beach, wandering through bustling Chinatown, or experiencing a sunset camel ride along Cable Beach.
For a touch of local culture, learn of the unique role the sea and river systems of the Kimberley have played in the life of the local indigenous communities on a guided cultural walk and excursion through Minyirr Park.
Roebuck Bay has the greatest diversity of shorebird species of any site on the planet and around 150,000 of these birds visit annually.

Day 8 Broome to Gibb River Road to Windjana Gorge
Travel north to Derby, and see the Boab Prison Tree and Myall Bore, beside which is the longest cattle trough in the southern hemisphere.
Embark upon the famous Gibb River Road, visiting spectacular Windjana Gorge. Continue to the unique Tunnel Creek- a naturally formed underground water passage that flows beneath the limestone of Napier Range.
Western Australias oldest cave system, in Tunnel Creek National Park, is famous as a hideout used late last century by an Aboriginal leader known as Jandamarra. Learn of his heart wrenching story.

Day 9 Windjana Gorge to Manning Gorge
Explore Windjana Gorge, and have the opportunity to see the many freshwater crocodiles that inhabit the river. The Gorge is an oasis of native plants and deep pools.
Continue along the Gibb River Road, to Galvans Gorge and Manning Gorge (conditions permitting). A short walk at Galvans Gorge brings you to a large plunge pool at the base of a waterfall. A delightful spot for a refreshing swim.

Day 10 Manning Gorge to El Questro
Travel through some of the harshest terrain in Australia, skirting the Cockburn Range before arriving at El Questro Wilderness Park.
Covering an area of land greater than Germany, its landscape offers outstanding diversity - from rugged sandstone ranges and broad tidal flats, to rainforest pockets, gorges and permanent waterfalls.
El Questro boasts four major river systems - from fresh water springs to the lazy salt-water estuaries in the northern part of the property. Here youll find an abundance of animals, fish and bird life congregating near rivers and waterholes.

Day 11 El Questro
Explore some of the enormous Park, perhaps taking a cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a scenic helicopter flight past waterfalls and caves, or a guided 4WD fishing adventure.

Day 12 El Questro to Emma Gorge to Kununurra
Travel to Emma Gorge, and have the opportunity to swim in the pristine water at the base of the waterfall. Continue along the Gibb River Road to Kununurra.
See natural wonders, rugged ridges and plentiful waterways and be awed by the magnificent Lake Argyle.

Day 13 Kununurra
Explore the stunning views from Kellys Knob Lookout in Mirima National Park. See 300 million year old sandstone cliffs, often referred to as the 'mini Bungles'.
Explore the historic Durack homestead and enjoying a cruise on the impressive Lake Argyle- the largest man-made lake in Australia.

Day 14 Kununurra to Nitmiluk
Cross the border into the Northern Territory, travelling via Timber Creek and Victoria River to the former gold mining town of Katherine. Camp in stunning Nitmiluk National Park, which is owned by the Jawoyn Aboriginal people.
Some of the Park's features include spectacular dissected sandstone country, broad valleys and numerous, significant cultural sites. The deep gorge carved through ancient sandstone by the Katherine River is the central attraction of the Park.

Day 15 Nitmiluk to Katherine Gorge to Kakadu
Experience an early morning cruise through Katherine Gorge, with the opportunity to see freshwater crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbanks.
Stop at beautiful Edith Falls where there is time for a swim, before travelling via the gold mining town of Pine Creek to Kakadu National Park.
