Travel south, along the Stuart Highway towards the township of Mataranka - land of the Never Never. Points of interest will be spotted along the way. This part of the journey takes just over an hour.
Encounter the unique rammed earth constructed Territory Manor while you enjoy morning tea and a brief stop. Be entertained by giant silver Barramundi being fed at the water lily covered Billabong.
On arrival at historic Mataranka Homestead, take the opportunity to tour the replica of the original Elsey Homestead, used in the filming of We of the Never Never"."
Take the beautiful palm lined walkway for a swim in the famous Thermal Pool (said to have therapeutic powers). Enjoy lunch at the Territory Manor before departing for Katherine. Arrive at approximately 2.00pm.
Departs: Daily (June to August) Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday May, September, October) Tuesday (November to April) at 8.00am.
Returns: Approx. 2.00pm
