Day 2 Katherine to Kakadu

Enjoy a scenic journey to Kakadu, via Pine Creek and the stunning Mary River.

Stop en route at the spectacular Gunlom Falls, a series of rocky cascades with a deep pool fringed by pandanus palm and high cliffs.

Enjoy an unforgettable sunset cruise on the Yellow Water Billabong, and experience this diverse and sublimely beautiful area and its amazing wildlife.

Look out for huge saltwater crocodiles, which trawl just beneath the shallow waters, and marvel at the abundant birdlife: about one third of Australias bird species are found in Kakadu.

Day 3 Kakadu to Darwin

Rise early to see the Nourlangie Rock in the morning light. This spectacular area features a wealth of Aboriginal art sites.

Visit Ubirr – a huge rock offering panoramic views of the park – and the East Alligator River, renowned for its myriad of wildlife.Explore the Bowali Visitor Centre and enjoy the informative displays and fascinating exhibits.

Relax and admire the scenery on the road back to Darwin.
