Day 2 Mary River to Kakadu

Day 3 Kakadu to Darwin
Experience some thrilling 4WD action as you journey to Jim Jim Falls
Hike to the base of the falls before continuing on to Twin Falls.Enjoy the impressive scenery at the remarkable gorge and observe the powerful falls as you tour on the National Park operated boat and boardwalk

Day 4 Darwin
Explore Darwin at your own pace.
Perhaps visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and learn about the ferocious Cyclone Tracey that shattered Darwin in 1974. The museum is also home to Aboriginal, Southeast Asian and Oceanic art.
Journey to the Darwin Crocodile Farm, where 10,000 crocodiles are housed. Walk amongst safe platforms to watch the crocodiles being fed. Birdwatchers will also enjoy the numerous native birds here.

Day 5 Darwin to Katherine Gorge
Spend the day having fun in the beautiful Katherine Gorge.
Canoe or cruise the sparkling waters, or get the best view from a helicopter flight over the gorges (all at own expense).

Day 6 Katherine Gorge to Tennant Creek

Day 7 Tennant Creek to Alice Springs
See the unsteadily balanced Devils Marbles, a sacred site to its traditional owners.
Learn about the early hardships of bush telecommunications at Barrow Creeks historic Telegraph Station.
Passing the Tropic of Capricorn, stop at Ti Tree for the chance to buy original works of art by Indigenous artists.

Day 8 Alice Springs
Explore Alice Springs at your own pace.
Enjoy the year round blue skies and stunning landscapes. Perhaps take a bike ride to the West MacDonnell Ranges for a great photo opportunity.
You may want to visit the Alice Springs Reptile Centre (own expense) where you can see venomous snakes as well as goannas and frill necked lizards.

Day 9 Alice Springs to Kata Tjuta and Uluru
Have the chance to get up close with camels at the Outback Camel Farm where you can choose to ride one of these amazing giants (own expense).
Enjoy a Valley of the Winds hike, as you pass amazing scenery at Kata Tjuta and discover secrets of the historic landform.
Arrive at Uluru and witness a fascinating sunset before curling up in your sleeping bag under a sky filled with sparkling stars.

Day 10 Uluru to Kings Canyon
Wake early to see the beautiful sunrise over Uluru.
Enjoy a walk around Uluru's base, or climb to the top if you prefer. Have an understanding of the land and its stories at the Cultural Centre.

Day 11 Kings Canyon to Glen Helen
Take a hike to the outstanding Kings Canyon rock formations
Walk through the Amphitheatre, the Lost City, the lush and ancient Garden of Eden and the North and South Walls and be mesmerised by the enormity and beautifulness of this amazing landform.
Travel along the Mereenie Loop Track (also called the Red Centre Way) where you will check out the 140 million year old meteorite crater, Gosse Bluff.
Journey past the home of the highly praised Indigenous artist Albert Namatjira, and travel towards Glen Helen.
Overnight: Camping in the Western end of the MacDonnell Ranges.

Day 12 Glen Helen to Alice Springs
Experience the stunning Ormiston Gorge before doing some exciting 4WD action through the Finke River.
Discover Palm Valley and Cycad Gorge, once a prehistoric inland sea.
Witness one of the rarest trees in the world, the Livistonia Mariae.
The magnificent Western MacDonnell Ranges will continue to amaze you all the way back to Alice Springs.
