Day 1 Cairns to Chillagoe
Travel via the Gillies Range and pass through the Goldsborough Valley.
Leave the coast and travel towards the outback, passing through the Atherton Tablelands and after a visit to the Curtain Fig Tree arrive at Herberton.
Journey off road to the historic towns of Watsonville, Irvinebank and Emuford.
Arrive in Chillagoe in the afternoon, and see another unique aspect of this remarkable outback town, the Balancing Rock.

Day 2 & 3 Chillagoe and Cobbold
Travel deeper into the outback and follow a vast trail of lonely cattle stations. After passing Georgetown, arrive into Cobbold Gorge, a typical Queensland working cattle station.
Embark on a full day boat cruise in the Cobbold Gorge.
Feel as though you have traveled back into primitive times as you explore ancient and bizarre rock formations, narrow gorges and many other spectacular sights.
Enjoy an array of interesting and informative walks through the Cobbold Gorge.

Day 4 Cobbold to Normanton
Drive past Georgetown to Croydon and enjoy a refreshing swim.
Travel towards Normanton, where you will embark on a tour through the town.Overnight: Gulfland Motel

Day 5 & 6 Normanton to Lawn Hill National Park
Explore the Burke and Wills Monuments before driving on to Burketown.
Pass the Leichhardt River Falls before continuing onto the Lawn Hill National Park. Take a walk to the rim of the gorge.
Indulge in morning tea along the riverbanks of the Gregory River and learn the history of fossils with a visit to the Riversleigh Fossil Fields.
Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure with many options to choose from, such as exploring the beautiful national park, taking a scenic walk, swim or hire a canoe.Overnight: Adels Grove River Tents

Day 7 Lawn Hill to Borroloola
Journey over desolate tracks and pass unique stations such as the Bowthorn Station.
Cross the border between Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Day 8 Borrolloola to Mataranka,
Visit a former local police station, which is now a museum.
Travel to Daly Waters where you will visit an interesting and unique Australian pub, as well as the Daly Waters Aerodrome.
Pass by hundreds of termite hills, before you reach Mataranka, where you will have the opportunity to take a dip in a hot spring.

Day 9 Mataranka to Litchfeild National Park
Travel north on the famous Stuart Highway.
After a refreshing swim at the Edith Falls and a stop at Pine Creek, continue towards Daly River in the southern part of Litchfield National Park.

Day 10 & 11 Litchfield National Park and Darwin
Travel beside some of the most amazing magnetic termite mounds and explore a magnificent waterfalls, which plunges from the rocky escarpment of the Table Top Range into refreshing pools.
After visiting the Lost City, a group of fantastically shaped sandstone towers, formed by thousands of years of wind and rain erosion continue onto Darwin.
Enjoy the next day exploring Darwin at your own leisure; enjoy the tropical lifestyle and multicultural community.

Day 12 Darwin to Kakadu
Journey through the tropical monsoon forest that boarders the East Alligator River.
Visit the Fogg Dam and “Window to the Wetlands”. Walk up Ubir Rock and enjoy magnificent views over the swampland and rock formations.
Visit the Nourlangie Rock, which features magnificent Aboriginal rock paintings.

Day 13 Kakadu to Katherine
Embark on a cruise on Yellow Waters and possibly encounter many colourful birds and lurking crocodiles.
Travel through the mountain ranges as you leave Kakadu National Park, stop off to visit Pine Creek.
Drive along the mighty Victoria River as you make your way to Katherine.

Day 14 Katherine to Kununurra
Experience a spectacular cruise on the Katherine Gorge located in the Nitmiluk National Park.
Stop off at the Victoria River Roadhouse before crossing the Northern Territory and Western Australia boarder.
Journey along the Cockburn Ranges until you reach Kununurra.

Day 15 & 16 Kununurra to El Questro
Travel over mountainous roads until you reach Lake Argyle and enjoy an unforgettable cruise on this world renowned lake.
Travel further west along the infamous Gibb River Road until you arrive at El Questro Station.
Spend the day exploring the amazing 400,00 hectares of working cattle station at the El Questro Station.
Be given the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the hot springs and discover the fascinating area on an exciting walk to the gorges.

Journey through the majestic Cockburn Ranges and cross the Pentecost and Durack Ranges.
Travel along the Gibb River Road towards a unique cattle station.
