Day 2 Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound

Explore the wonder of Wilpena Pound, a natural amphitheatre located in a huge stone crater. Take a short walk to Yourambulla Caves to observe Aboriginal rock paintings.
Learn the history of sheep farming in the mid 1800s as you view the remnants of Kanyaka Homestead.
On the way back to Quorn you may spot the elusive Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby.

Day 3 Quorn - Coober Pedy
Journey to ancient salt lakes, which are remnants of an inland sea, before stopping at the small town of Glendambo.
Arrive in Quorn; an old-fashioned railway township nestled at the entrance to the Richman Valley. Explore the sites of Coober Pedy and see an opal cutting demonstration on a mine tour, with the chance to try your luck “noodling” for opals.

Hike to the base of the falls before continuing on to the Twin Falls.

Arrive into Darwin in the late afternoon.
