DAY 1 Adelaide - The Flinders Ranges - Angorichina

Escape the city heading North to the Flinders Ranges, passing through small country towns like historic Quorn.

Enjoy your stay at Angorichina in the central Flinders Ranges.

Overnight: Camping

DAY 2 Angorichina - Oodnadatta Track - William Creek

Today your destination is the Outback of Australia. Travel into the driest part of the Aussie continent. Travel a short section of sealed roads then it is onto the Oodnadatta Track.

Follow the Old Ghan Railway, stopping at Ochre Cliffs, Lake Eyre and Mound Springs.

Explore William Creek, South Australia's smallest town where you will set up camp under the stars of the desert.

DAY 3 William Creek - Coober Pedy

Travel on an isolated track through the world's largest cattle station, Anna Creek.

  • Head for the opal capital of the world, Coober Pedy via Lake Cadibarrawirracanna and the Dingo fence. Learn about the opal industry before your own time to explore the charms of the town or look for opals on your own.
  • Sleep like the locals tonight as you set up camp in an underground dugout.

    DAY 4 Coober Pedy - Ayers Rock

    It’s a big day driving up the Stuart Highway with several pitstops en route.

    Marvel at the huge rock formation known as Uluru or Ayers Rock. Set up camp at Yulara, Ayers Rock Resort for the next two nights.

    Delight in a magnificent sunset over Uluru taking time to absorb the beauty and majesty of this place.

    DAY 5 Ayers Rock

    Enjoy a sunrise breakfast at Uluru followed by a guided cultural walk around the base. Hear about Tjukurpa (creation/law) leading you to an understanding of the cultural landscape.

    You have the chance to climb some of Uluru. Visit a Cultural Centre before heading back to camp for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

    DAY 6 Ayers Rock - The Olgas -Watarrka

    Spend the morning at Kata Tjuta otherwise known as The Olgas. Hike the magnificent Valley of the Winds followed by lunch.

    Enjoy an afternoon drive to Watarrka, Kings Canyon. Help set up camp for an overnight stay at Kings Creek cattle station.

    Overnight: Camping

    Day 7 Watarrka - Alice Springs

    Enjoy a morning walk at Watarrka, through the sandstone domes and down into the Garden of Eden.

    Cool off in the waterhole before returning to camp for a feed.

    Then it's on to Alice Springs, approximate arrival time 6.30pm.
