The Station offers two styles of accommodation the fully self-contained, stand-alone Arkaba Coach House and Arkaba Homestead Bed and Breakfast, which is a room in a private wing of the homestead with a fully cooked breakfast included.

Each style has a private verandah, perfect for guests wishing to watch the bird life or read a book.

Arkaba Station was once described by Paul Myers, the previous editor of The Outback Magazine, as the most beautiful station in Australia.

There are walks from the Homestead along the creek and over the Arkaba Hills. Other well marked walks are at the Wilpena Pound Resort or Rawnsley Park Station. St. Mary's Peak is a challenging walk taking you to the highest point in the Flinders Ranges. This walk takes between 6 and 8 hours depending on the route taken. There are other shorter walks which don't require that level of fitness. A must-do is a walk into Wilpena Pound to the old Hills Homestead and up to Wangarra Lookout.
