DAY 5 Sydney Tour, Special Dinner Cruise
The beautiful harbour city of Sydney, is the largest, oldest and most cosmopolitan city in Australia with an enviable reputation as one of the world's most beautiful and liveable cities. It is brimming with history, nature, culture, art, fashion, design, and cuisine. Sydney is home to two of the most iconic structures in the world, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, along with the world's most famous beach - Bondi Beach. Who can forget the Sydney 2000 Olympics? Sydney is built around the massive harbour, is next to amazing Pacific Ocean beaches and is surrounded by national parks.
Your friendly driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned luxury coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the on-board full commentary throughout the morning. This guided tour is the perfect introduction to Sydney, taking you around the city's iconic points of interest, including a panoramic photo stop (Harbour Bridge behind the Opera House), before heading out through the affluent eastern suburbs to Bondi Beach. Cruise Sydney Harbour at sunset aboard Sydney's most prestigious cruise ship, taking in the awe of one of the world's most beautiful water ways. Enjoy your Special Dinner onboard whilst you watch the lights of the bustling city, Harbour Bridge and Opera House go by. DAY 6 Hunter Valley with Special Lunch
The magnificent Hunter Valley is one of the world's most famous wine regions, home to more than 150 wineries, green rolling hills, fertile valleys and quaint villages. The Hunter is Australia's oldest wine producing region, with styles now including Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon and earthy Pinot Noirs. Hunter Valley Gardens features 12 spectacular manicured themed gardens spanning over 25 hectares and is located at the foot of the Brokenback Range in west of Cessnock. Today will be a feast for your senses.
Leaving Sydney city we cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and cross the Hawkesbury River (renowned for its superb oysters). Visit historic Wollombi and take a stroll in the rural splendid valley. Tour Cessnock and the lower Hunter Valley renowned for its early Australiana townships. Visit McWilliams Mount Pleasant Estate for a 'behind the scenes' guided winemaking tour and wine tasting. Enjoy a sumptuous two course lunch complimented by fine Australian table wine (vegetarian meals available on request). Visit world renowned Lindemans vineyard for a special private wine tasting and cheese platter. Travel through the central and lower Hunter passing many internationally famous wineries. Continue to Hunter Valley Garden Cellars for further wine tasting. Stop at Hunter Valley Gardens with free time to explore the gardens, visit the boutique shops and galleries. DAY 7 Harbour Cruise & Taronga Zoo
Today is totally flexible. You have a fully guided Hop-On Hop-Off harbour sightseeing cruise taking you to see all of the main sights. You also have entry to Sydney's Taronga Zoo and a panoramic ride on the Sky Safari Gondola cable-car. Taronga Zoo is home to over 2,600 animals and 340 different species across 21 hectares in the leafy suburb of Mosman. It's remarkable to see Giraffes in front of Sydney's skyline and opera house. There's no better way to experience Sydney's awesome beauty than from the harbour, especially when you can decide how long you want to cruise and where to get off to explore.
Experience Sydney Harbour at your own pace with our fantastic Hop-Op Hop-Off Cruise combining an independent but structured way to experience the best attractions. You can start and finish when you choose. You could simply stay on-board for a 90 minute guided cruise with great live informative commentary, or just hop-off at any stop and re-join the circular cruise next time it passes (every 45 minutes). Experience the majestic Blue Mountains with distant blue haze horizons overlooking incredible canyons, spectacular waterfalls and quaint hamlets that are home to artists and those following an alternative lifestyle. This World Heritage Site really does look blue - due to the rainforests of oil bearing eucalypt that cling to the mountainous cliffs and thickly inhabit the valleys. Breathe in the crisp, clean, mountain top air as you take in amazing features like the Three Sisters. There is a rich history to discover, Europeans first reaching the Blue Mountains in 1788, while the beautiful Gundungurra aboriginal people have lived here for millennia. This is a very special place.
Cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge as you depart the city and make your way up the mountain pass. Tour the township of Katoomba (resort capital of the Blue Mountains), see the Three Sisters rock formation, Echo Point, Jamison Valley. Enjoy free time in Katoomba to explore, enjoy some lunch, perhaps visit the Koomurri Aboriginal Centre (celebrating indigenous culture, art and dance), ride the world's steepest Scenic Railway, ride in a Scenic Cableway gondola or simply walk on the valley floor boardwalk under a canopy of tall tree ferns. We then follow scenic Cliff Drive with magnificent views over Megalong Valley (from Narrowneck). We stop at the quaint mountain village of Leura with some free time - perhaps enjoy the local speciality of traditional English Devonshire Tea of scones, jam and cream. Time to walk and browse the picturesque mountain village of Leura. We visit Featherdale Wildlife Park (learn about the conservation of local native animals, hand feed kangaroos, experience the emu encounter, walk through rainforest aviaries, walk through koala enclosures, see giant crocodiles). Heading back into Sydney pass Homebush Bay (2000 Olympic Games site), see the stadiums and facilities of the millennium Olympics, cross the famous Anzac Bridge. Free-time activities are optional and at your own expense. This fun filled day will give great memories of your Blue Mountains experience.

• Kalgoorlie (Perth to Sydney): Stop and discover unique Kalgoorlie. Historic Kalgoorlie is the birthplace of Western Australia's mineral wealth, sparked by the massive gold rush following Paddy Hannan's initial discovery in 1893. Today, Kalgoorlie produces 10% of the world's gold and is a vibrant, prosperous modern town with its rich history clearly visible through its amazing colonial architecture.
• Adelaide (Perth to Sydney): Adelaide is famous for stylish architecture, beautiful parklands, boutique shopping, cafe strips, sandy swimming beaches, fabulous arts events, festivals, nightlife, and sandstone cottages with sweeping gardens. Your Adelaide Off-Train Excursion gives you access to some of the most talked about attractions in Adelaide.
• Cook (Perth to Sydney): You will also stop at Cook (South Australia) the almost deserted ghost town 826km from Augusta, with a current resident population of 4 people and named after the sixth Prime Minister of Australia, Joseph Cook. Explore the amazing deserted streets to see the now unused historic buildings and the crossing loop on the standard gauge Trans-Australian Railway. Cook is a railway station on the standard gauge rail line from Port Augusta to Kalgoorlie with no inhabited places around. The town was established in 1917 when the railway was built and was named after the sixth Prime Minister of Australia, Joseph Cook. The town in on the longest stretch of straight railway in the world, at 478 kilometres from Ooldea to beyond Loongana. The bush hospital is closed, the swimming pool is empty but Cook still has the ability to spark your curiosity. Ask your Hospitality Attendant for your self guided walking map of Cook.
• Broken Hill (Perth to Sydney): Stop and discover amazing Broken Hill. This major producer of silver, lead and zinc is known as Silver City. It is the birthplace of global mining powerhouse BHP, that is named after Broken Hill. Nowadays, fine artists base themselves here to gain inspiration from the handsome natural attractions, the bright natural light and spectacular coloured landscapes.
• Rawlinna (Sydney to Perth): Platinum and Gold Service guests will be invited to disembark to partake in a traditional Outback lamb roast dinner under the wide Nullarbor skies. Guests also have the option to dine on board. Squatting on the fringes of Australia’s biggest sheep stations, this little outpost on the Nullarbor Plain is pure jackaroo country. By car, Rawlinna is a five hour trip from the nearest big town, Kalgoorlie. The Rawlinna Station is home to up to 80,000 sheep spread across 2.5 million acres. To put that into perspective, one paddock alone takes 8 hours to muster by plane.
